alas_a_llamaThe Daily Mail readers were, fortunately, not back in the bar today. Which is good, because if they were we would have all had to don sunglasses, smoke cigars, and burn down the entire city while making slightly baffling allusions to cancer and chemotherapy.
That would've been a lot of effort.
(For those on my flist who are perhaps unaware, the Daily Mail is possibly the worst newspaper to ever exist. It's just however-many-pages of virulent, spitting hatred against everyone who isn't a white, wealthy, straight, cis-gendered, conservative, English man between the ages of 35 and 75. It's like Fox News in print format, times ten.)
Bought Jeff Wayne's new version of the War of the Worlds musical audio track. I like it! It's weird to hear Liam Neeson instead of Richard Burton (but he's in many ways a perfect replacement), and it gets a bit busy at times (there are a few moments where it gets a bit ... DJ-ish, too), but War of the Worlds will ever be one of my favourite stories, and Jeff Wayne's musical version ever one of my favourite versions.
(Best line is still "But they're not devils, they're Martians!")
I also got Epic Mickey 2. Not played it yet.
